Here at the James Matassa Insurance Agency, I take my responsibility seriously when it comes to helping you make smart decisions regarding your insurance needs. In 2006, I opened my first State Farm agency in Lockport, Louisiana. 14 years later, in 2020, I was awarded the opportunity by State Farm to open a second agency located in Thibodaux, Louisiana, allowing me serve all of Lafourche Parish and surrounding areas.

Being a Lafourche Parish resident myself, I understand the people here and what they expect from their agent. I am a proud supporter of our local schools, churches, athletic programs, and various charities and organizations. I am a member of both the Chamber of Lafourche and Thibodaux Chamber of Commerce. We are proud to serve Lockport, Raceland, Larose, Cut Off, Galliano, Grand Isle, Gheens, St. Charles, Thibodaux, Chackbay, Labadieville, Napoleonville, Schriever, Gray, and other local surrounding areas.

Throughout my years as a State Farm Agent, I have qualified for several program recognitions with State Farm such as Chairman Circle, President’s Club, Ambassador Travel, and Central Zone Vice President Club.

I have been in the insurance industry since 28, having 27 1/2 of those years of working for State Farm agents. I became part of James's team in 2007, after a long-time agent retired. I currently serve as a Customer Service Representative, assisting customers with any insurance policy questions and writing policies for any insurance needs that may arise.

I am happily married and together with my husband, we have two adult children, and 4 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, gardening and traveling with my husband. We especially enjoy any type of mountain vacations. My mantra is "Life's an Adventure!"

I have been in the insurance industry since 1984 when I got my first job out of high school. In 1996, I began working for a State Farm agent in Thibodaux, and joined James's team in 2009 after he opened his agency in Lockport, allowing me to be closer to home. I have served many different roles throughout the years, and currently help customers with any and all insurance needs and questions that they may have. My passion is assisting customers with Life Insurance to protect their loved ones.

I am a proud mom of two adult children, and I am happily married to my wonderful husband. On my spare time, I love to travel to new places, especially the beach, and go camping with friends and family. I also enjoy shopping, and absolutely love all things shoes!

I grew up in Chauvin, but have been a resident of Thibodaux for 15 years. I have been in the insurance industry since 2013, and joined James' team in 2017, and since then I have been working as part of both his Thibodaux and Lockport agencies.

My current role is to assist new customers with auto, life, and home insurance. I love working with people to help them make a plan for their family-- to ensure that there is protection for the things that are most important to them.

On my spare time I enjoy spending time and making memories with my family and friends. I love anything outdoors-- especially fishing and the beach! There isn’t much that I don't enjoy doing.

In September of 2015, I joined James's team and served as the receptionist in our Lockport agency.  When he opened his Thibodaux agency in 2020, I got the opportunity to further my career by assisting with any customer service needs and handled any claims-related tasks.  In March of 2022, I rejoined our Lockport agency, now becoming a full-time Customer Service Representative.  It is my passion to not only help people with their immediate needs, but to also create a relationship and get to know them on a personal level.

I am happily married to my high school sweetheart, and we have two sweet boys. I enjoy spending time with my family on my off time and creating memories we will never forget.
